Army Mishap Investigation Course (AMIC)

Army Mishap Investigation Course (AMIC)

The Army Mishap Investigation Course (AMIC) develops personnel to support Installation-level Accident Investigations (IAIs). All commands are encouraged to identify potential investigation board presidents (AR 385-10) and provide them this opportunity to attain the knowledge and skills necessary to complete a mishap investigation to Army standards. The course is also beneficial to anyone who may potentially serve as a mishap investigation board member. The eight day course covers regulatory requirements, board organization, the investigation process, medical and legal aspects, photography, data collection, witness interviewing, human factors, data analysis, and report assembly. Please register for the course through ATRRS School Code 012, Course 7K-F22. For more information contact the course manager at COM (334) 255-3833 or DSN 558-3833.

Attendees of the Ground Safety Officer Course (GSOC), the Aviation Safety Officer Course (ASOC), and the CP-12 Course receive the same curriculum training and do not need to attend AMIC.
