Give Winter Mishaps the Cold Shoulder

From October through March, the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center places a special emphasis on winter and cold-weather safety. Cold-weather injuries, such as frostbite and hypothermia, as well as slippery conditions, present significant challenges during this time of year.

Below you will find resources designed to assist you in lessening the risks of the winter season, such as feature articles, posters and other resources themed on seasonal topics to augment your existing safety programs. Just as in seasons past, all are easily downloadable and ready to use in whatever format you prefer.

We must continue to set the standard and ensure that our missions are conducted safely. Of equal importance is our effort to prepare Soldiers, civilians and family members for the hazards of off-duty activities. Extended holiday leaves and rapidly changing weather conditions will open the door for risk. Getting this information to Soldiers now will help them mitigate the hazards they will face.

As always, the USACRC welcomes your feedback. We will populate this site with more campaign material through the coming months. Please check back often.
