Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) categories are defined by organizational structure and mission requirements. Leaders and supervisors are obligated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) to provide safe and healthful workplaces for their employees. Effective risk assessment, risk decision making, and implementation of risk controls are vital to SOH program management. AR 385-10 provides regulatory requirements for maintaining specific elements of the Army SOH program.
