Residential Training

Before attending the Aviation Safety Officer Course (ASOC) or the Ground Safety Officer Course (GSOC), several prerequisites must be met. This page lists each requirement, along with instructions and links to complete it. Reviewing these items early helps ensure a smooth start to the course. Register for Unit Safety Officer Course:

  • Log in to ATIS Learning
  • Select Catalog in the menu at the top of the page
  • Type in the course title or description in the Search box and press Enter
  • Find your course title and select Register, followed by selecting the Register option from the drop-down menu
  • Follow the ATIS Learning instructions to launch the course

Register for Introduction to Ammunition (AMMO-45):

  • Log in to Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS)
  • Under the ATRRS Quick Links section, select Course Catalog
  • Enter the complete Course Title or Course Number in the appropriate search blocks:
  • Select Search the ATTRS Course Catalog
  • Select the hyperlinked course number, then Register
  • Select the CAC selector, then Log in with CAC
  • Confirm your information is correct and select Submit Application

    NOTE: A Common Access Card (CAC) is required to register for all ATRRS courses. You must be on a secure computer system, on a military/federal installation, or on a government computer with VPN.

  • After receiving an ATRRS notification that you are registered, log in to ATIS Learning CAC
  • Select the course title in the Active Learning column
  • Finally, select the title again that has Web Based Training

Access to the Joint Risk Assessment Tool (JRAT) is required. Log in to JRAT and confirm access.

  • Army IT User Agreement
  • Cyber Awareness Certificate
  • Student Information Sheet
  • Unit Pre-Mishap Plan
  • Unit Safety SOP
