Since I am lucky enough to live in an area with year-round nice weather, I have eschewed the treadmill and opted to trek the sidewalks near my home. Now that I am spending more time as a pedestrian, I’ve discovered many drivers do not...

    Racing Toward Disaster

    Animal Crossing

I was about 500 feet from the exit for Fort Belvoir, riding in the right lane on a poorly lit section of the road. I was almost home free when I suddenly saw a gray mass in front of me. Whatever it was, it didn’t seem to know what it wanted to do.

    The Most Critical Piece

A helmet is the most critical piece of personal protective equipment (PPE) a rider wears. According to Army policy, riders are required to wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle or all-terrain vehicle (ATV). It only makes sense if you want to prevent traumatic and fatal head injuries.
