I was in Germany, traveling on Highway 45 from Frankfurt to Miltenberg, when two speeding cars collided in front of me. From the impact, I was sure the occupants in at least one of the cars were going to be injured badly.

Lessons Learned: Underwater Location and Recovery Operations

Fatal aircraft mishaps with an underwater dimension, whether at sea or in a lake or river, occur regularly. Locating and recovering these aircraft can be extremely challenging, requiring a well-planned and timely response coordinated amongst many parties.
