End the Trend
After three deployments to Iraq, I saw a trend developing in my unit. During the last 30 days of each deployment, we had an accident. What was causing this to happen — complacency, nerves, ego or just plain bad luck?
Worth the Risk?
As pilots, we push not only ourselves, but our fellow crewmembers and aircraft. I want to tell you a story where I pushed my co-pilot, the airframe and myself into a series of events that could’ve ended tragically for everyone.

No Room for Egos
We were casually crossing the parking lot and were only about 20 feet from our car when we heard a loud noise. It was the sound of a rider revving his motorcycle’s engine as he rode by, showing off while going through the parking lot.
