It’s hard to drive today without occasionally being exposed to some form of road rage. Impatient motorists driving along congested highways sometimes take out their anger on those around them.

To ensure we got the most out of our stay, I planned out everything — from beach activities we hoped to do to restaurants we wanted to try. One thing I failed to plan for, however, nearly brought our trip to an early end.

Without thinking, I found myself about to run a red light. For a moment, I thought I was back in Iraq. It took me a second to remember I wasn’t — that I was now home in the states.
