Rule No. 1

On a long weekend, I headed down to Big Bend Ranch State Park for some moto-camping and to provide support for a 50-mile ultramarathon. While there, I broke Rule No. 1.

Prepare for the Worst

I am a longtime water sports enthusiast and take safety very seriously. I have all the required boating safety equipment in accordance with the Tennessee Department of Wildlife Resources, plus a few extra items I have deemed necessary over the years.

Getting Hitched

As a kid growing up in southern Florida, we used to go down to the boat ramps on weekends to see just how funny some people could be. It wouldn’t be too long before someone would show up towing a 28-foot cabin cruiser with an expensive car.

Eastbound and Down

I was with a group of riders out for a Sunday ride. My girlfriend was with us, riding on the back of my Honda Gold Wing. It was early afternoon and she and I decided to head back to San Antonio. Once we got back onto Interstate 10 East, I set the cruise control at 70 mph, put a CD into the player and enjoyed the ride.

Fogged Up
