Vehicle Maintenance
As the company safety officer, I was sometimes asked if vehicle inspections were completed. Usually, my response was, “Yes and no.” On paper, you could clearly see the inspections were done; however, I knew many had been pencil whipped by a buddy. 
The Last Time I Didn't Wear a Seat Belt
I grew up during a time when most states didn’t have laws requiring vehicle occupants to wear a seat belt. As a teenager, I wore a seat belt when I was riding in the car with my parents. Riding with my friends, however, was different story.

Safe at home
