When I was in college, I had the opportunity to take a class on the Korean War. Not only did I learn a lot about an interesting part of American and world history, my school paid for a trip to Korea as well as visits to the actual battlefield sites.

Lucky Ducks

There I was on a chilly Friday evening in December, watching the weather segment on the local 6 o’clock news when Melvin, a teenage hunting and fishing buddy, called. He’d run into Wes, another mutual friend, and asked if I wanted to join them on a duck-hunting excursion.
