December is National Impaired Driving Prevention Month, and while not an official Army observance, it will serve as an important opportunity for leaders to engage their Soldiers on the hazards of drunk driving before the holiday exodus.

With cooler temperatures approaching, the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center is advising Soldiers to anticipate and mitigate their risk of cold weather injury, whether they’re deployed, participating in field training exercises or enjoying recreational time off with family and friends.

As summer draws to an end, children are beginning to switch their focus from swimming, camping and other fun outdoor recreational activities to heading back to school.
