At last, I had accumulated enough leave to allow me to take a week off of work. Soon, I would finally be doing what I’d always dreamed — riding a motorcycle. But first, I knew I had to get some safety training.

I’ve made it my mission to ensure episodes like this don’t happen under my watch. My Soldiers’ safety is priority one.

While assigned to Task Force Viper at Forward Operating Base Wolverine in January 2013, two armament Soldiers were tasked to conduct a stray current check on an OH-58 Kiowa Warrior rocket pod.
