Life or Death?
No matter how safe you think you are on your motorcycle, you’re still at risk of other drivers not seeing you. I did everything right that day and still ended up in the hospital. Fortunately, I was wearing all of my protective gear and only suffered minor injuries.
Flying Blind
As we departed Farah on a medevac mission, everything was going well. Visibility was excellent and we had plenty of illumination. Then we ran into visibility issues — an unforecasted dust storm.
