Spatial Disorientation

Unless you’ve experienced spatial disorientation while flying an aircraft, it’s difficult to truly understand the feeling. Fortunately, I’m still here to talk about the night it happened to me.

Know Before You Go

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 36 percent of vehicle collisions occur at intersections. Many of those happen in left-hand turn lanes with a flashing yellow arrow. I know this because that’s how I totaled my car.

Out of Darkness

As we started to make our way back out, nothing looked right. We were lost. We kept coming back to the lake but could not find the path to the entrance.
