It’s no secret that over the past few years there has been an increase in the number of motorcycles on the road. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that motorcycle mishaps are on the rise. I am now a part of both of those statistics.

Are you one of those hardy souls who enjoys the great outdoors during winter? Sure, the Army trained you to work and fight in the cold, but what about when you’re off duty, hiking or backpacking with friends or family?

Winter storms can bring extreme cold, freezing rain, snow, ice and high winds to much of the United States as well as increase the risk of vehicle accidents, hypothermia, frostbite, carbon monoxide poisoning and heart attacks from overexertion.
